Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
NICE’s commitment to high ethical standards guides everything we do as a company, and defines the way we conduct our business. Having a clear—and clearly communicated—Code of Ethics and Business Conduct is an important part of that effort.
We believe that making good decisions and ethical choices in our work, builds trust in each other and with our customers and partners.
Our commitment to high standards of business ethics includes fair competition in compliance with antitrust laws.
We designed our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct to effectively deter wrongdoing and promote honest and ethical conduct. It is based on five basic principles:
- We will be honest and fair in the conduct of our business.
- We will strictly adhere to the letter and spirit of all laws and conform to locally accepted standards of good corporate citizenship in each country in which we do business.
- We will strive to provide high-quality products and services.
- We will be good corporate citizens.
- We will protect the confidentiality of our assets and employee information.
- We will promote and sustain a work environment that fosters mutual respect, openness and individual integrity.
It is our policy to treat all individuals equally and not discriminate against employees, shareholders, directors, officers, customers or suppliers or any third party, including on account of race, color, age, sex, social origin, sexual orientation, family status, disabilities, religion, national or ethnic origin or any other characteristic protected by applicable law, regulation, or ordinance.
The NICE Code of Ethics and Business Conduct not only applies to all of our employees (including in all our subsidiaries and affiliates), but also to all independent contractors and service providers subject to NICE supervision and control, which are informed of and are expected to comply with our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as applicable by local laws and employment regulations.
In order to maintain compliance and promote a culture of ethical conduct, we require that our employees undergo comprehensive online compliance training on relevant aspects of ethical business conduct as part of our on-boarding process for new employees and on an annual or periodic basis. These trainings include an annual Code of Ethics and Business Conduct training for all employees globally, under which, inter alia, all employees confirm in writing that they have read and understood the most up to date version of the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
We also create a culture of compliance by conducting risk assessments, third party vetting, and other compliance efforts to minimize potential risks.
In order to support anonymous reporting of unethical behavior, we adopted and implemented a Speak Up Procedure which, together with our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, ensures that there will be no retaliation or harassment against those speaking up and that such reporting is supported by protection mechanisms ensuring the reporter's employment status.
